Split players equally between Origin, Playstation and Xbox (last and current gens). Whilst its nowhere near accurate with these figures, let's just make a quick example of how split things can get. Then further split them into cross play on and cross play off, then further split them into multiplayer and single player, then further split them into game modes. Then you need to split console players further into last gen and current gen. There's Origin to take into account as well as any other PC platform. Keep in mind that the figures I stated also need to be further split. Roughly between 16,772 and 27,953 across all platforms. I'm just taking what we have been told about trends and that they seemingly remained the same in a 3 month period and making an assumption that the total player count is now between 16,772 and 27,953 across all platforms. Take the figures with a pinch of salt as I don't claim these to be accurate. If the player count remains the same as a month ago then steam now makes up 8-10% which is a sudden change considering from November - February it was around the 20% mark. Obviously this is all rough working out based on assumptions but we can be safe knowing that the trends have remained relatively the same since release, so unless the steam count has plummeted in the last month with no chance on other platforms, I would say these figures aren't far off what is actually happening. I'd say we are likely closer to the maximum than the minimum, if steam currently makes up 19% then it's 22,068 total. That leaves 23,760 players spread on PS4, PS5, XBX, Xbone and Origin. Maximum player count across all platformsĢ7,953 total players across all platforms. That leaves 12,579 players spread on PS4, PS5, XBX, Xbone and Origin. If steam makes up 25% of the total and steam had 4,193 peak over the last 24 hours.ġ6,772 total players across all platforms. Minimum player count across all platforms I'm going to use the 24 hour peak on steam of 4,193. 25% as a maximum as 2 weeks before the Q3 call that was a rough maximum. 15% as the minimum to take into account that a possible trend is that steam has seen more players drop than from other platforms. Steam players make up between 15 - 25% of the player count. So the assumption I'm going to make is the following. So we can roughly assume steam has been around the 19 - 25% of the player base mark for battlefield 2042 consistently. That means on steam made up roughly 20-25% of the active player base on that day. So on January 16th, the player count on steam was roughly 10,000. I'm also taking into account that in November steam made up 19% of the player base. We can use that to make a rough assumption so I'll do just so. Last we heard there was between 40,000 - 50,000 across all platforms 2 weeks prior to the Q3 fall at the start of this month. I don't claim this to be 100% accurate, just a rough assumption based on previous facts. I'll state what information I've used below. I'll use some known information from November and February to make an assumption to the current player counts.
